It all started with an email in 2016. Our young and blossoming business had been getting so many inquiries about our newest release of Keiki Pillows and it truly lit a spark in us! We were approached to have our keiki pillows in a new store featuring many small local shops and artisans. It would give all of us a chance to have our products featured in a retail space in the new Ka Makana Aliʻi Shopping center, which conveniently was so close to home for us. Win, Win! As exciting as it was for us, it was also very daunting. Our business was booming at the moment and as new small shop owners it was a lot for us to juggle. The store was planning itʻs opening right before the Holidays and we were preparing for our first ever Seasonʻs Best Christmas Expo. I would be lying if I said we had it all together. Most nights were sleepless and days were becoming a blur as we juggled inventory, orders and our kids. That holiday season was a whirlwind of excitement. Our pillows were selling so fast, we were restocking them every week and in total made over 100 pillows. Wow, who would have thought right? And that, was just the beginning of a beautiful journey with Noʻeau Designers.
Over the past 4 years we have grown with them and expanded our inventory at the store from keiki pillows to trucker hats, keiki clothing and accessories as well. I am always inspired by the growth of the store. How it started from a sweet and simple idea and blossomed into this ever growing hui of local artisans that all have the same dream. We only wish the best of luck to anyone that takes the chance on building their own success. Success does not happen overnight and having an amazing support system is the true root to all success.
